As VP of Business Development, Laurel led fundraising efforts for SeaBrick and Kelp Island, including grant proposals and accelerator applications. She also created pitch materials and developed business and marketing strategy for the nonprofit. The team was accepted into Third Derivative climate startup accelerator, including a $100k investment. Kelp Island won the Ocean Impact Pitchfest Climate Spotlight Award.
