MATERIAL INNOVATION INITIATIVE

Laurel completed research and reporting work for the Material Innovation Initiative, focusing on all aspects of sustainability related to cow leather. She looked into energy use, land use, chemical use, water use, and the social impact of cow leather production. She composed a comprehensive report of her findings that MII could use to help their network make informed decisions and encourage the transition toward plant-based leather alternatives.
