BLUE FRONTIERS

Blue Frontiers, a leading marine infrastructure development company, hired Laurel to lead their marketing and sustainability initiatives. She created a comprehensive digital marketing strategy that resulted in 100% growth in followers across 15 platforms in six months and earned them features in over 300 stories across major media outlets, reaching 1.4 billion viewers in the first half of 2018.

She also coordinated sustainable design and biomimicry research, leading a team of 15+ people to create concepts and design reports for water, energy, food, and biomimetic systems for self-sustaining marine infrastructure projects.

To further engage with the media and expand the company’s awareness, she structured a $100,000 competition in collaboration with the Startup Societies Foundation to compel entrepreneurs to collaborate with governments on large floating city development projects. The competition was successful, with 12+ contestants completing the first round.
