What is Eco Friendly Shampoo?
If you want to use the most eco friendly shampoo you can, the best options are free from toxic chemicals, either refillable or water free, (ie shampoo bars or dry shampoo,) and come in plastic free packaging. I really like using shampoo bars when traveling, especially for camping trips. Shampoo bars are another great choice for eco friendly shampoo. When you buy regular shampoo, a lot of what comes in the bottle is water. Not only are you paying for extra packaging, water, and shipping because of that water, it also means the product creates more emissions and waste. Eco friendly shampoo bars are a solution to that. Another fun way to switch to an eco friendly shampoo is to make your own! This way you eliminate packaging, shipping, and unneeded ingredients. It can also save you money. All you need is some apple cider vinegar and baking soda that you already have in your kitchen. Or you can use an egg yolk and a small amount of olive oil. 4. Dry Shampoo Powder
You may have tried spray-on dry shampoos that have become really popular recently. The problem with these is they tend to have toxic ingredients in them or come in non-recyclable packaging. You can get the same effect with a non-toxic dry shampoo powder that you just sprinkle in your hands and rub into your hair.
